RND 7: (2 sc next st, sc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (54 sts)

RND 8: (2 sc next st, sc next 8 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (60 sts)

RND 9: Sc ea st around sl st top beg sc, fasten off.

Stuff body firmly, sew base to bottom of body.

BEAR HEAD:

With Soft Earth and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.

RND 1: Ch-1, work 10 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)

RND 2-5: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. Stuff head.

RND 6: (Sk next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (5 sts)

With clear thread and needle sew head to neck of doll.

MUZZLE:

With Soft Earth and H hook and leaving a long tail, ch-2, work 6 sc in ring, pull yarn tight, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.

With clear thread and needle sew to center bottom of head.

EAR:

ROW 1: With Soft Earth and H hook ch-2, (sc, hdc, sc) 2nd ch from hook, fasten off. (3 sts)

-make 2. Sew to ea side of head.

Embroider eyes, nose and cheeks onto face. Add a few lines of Light Pink to inside of ea ear.

ARM (MAKE TWO):

ROW 1: With cream and size 7 hook ch-8, sc 2nd st from hook, hdc next ch, 2 dc next 3 ch, hdc next ch, sc last ch, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)

ROW 2: Sc next st, hdc next 2 sts, 2 dc next 4 sts, hdc next 2 sts, sc last st, ch-7, join with a sl st in the 1st st of beg row 1, ch-1, turn. (14 sts + ch)

RND 3: YOU ARE NOW WORKING IN RNDS. Sc across row 1 foundation ch, sc across next 7 ch, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (13 sts)

RND 4-17: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.

RND 18: Sc next st, (sk next st, sc next 3 sts) 3 times, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)
