MATERIALS:
150 yds Cream J&P Coats thread, size 7 crochet hook, needle large enough to take thread, stuffing, Allure Divine yarn in Soft Earth, size H crochet hook, dark brown and light pink embroidery thread, needle and invisible (clear) sewing thread.
Gauge: Thread: 9 sc = 1", 10 sc rows = 1", 9 dc = 1”, 5 dc rows = 1” and approximate. 7 1\2” tall.
BODY:
With Cream thread and size 7 hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, 10 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)
RND 2-4: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 5: (2 sc next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
RND 6: (2 sc next st, sc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (24 sts)
RND 7: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 8: Rep rnd 6. (32 sts)
RND 9: Rep rnd 7.
RND 10: 2 sc next 2 sts, (2 sc next st, sc next 4 sts), rep bet () around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (40 sts)
The Allure Divine yarn I used for the head and hands is no longer available. Any #4 yarn will make a good substitution, just make sure you get the exact gauge as stated in the pattern when you make a sample swatch. If your gauge is bigger than stated, go down one size in your hook. If your sample gauge is smaller than stated, go up one size in your hook.
