RND 4: Sl st next 3 sts, (ch-2, sl st next st) 5 times, sl st next 2 sts, fasten off.
Take a 12” piece of ribbon and weave over and under sts of rnd 3 of cap (not sl sts). Place on doll head, if you like you can apply a little glue to hold the cap in place, tie a bow under the doll’s chin. Trim excess ribbon.
DRESS:
RND 1: With lavender ch-12, sl st to form a ring, ch-1, sc in ea ch around, sl st top beg sc, turn. (12 sts)
RND 2: Ch-1, sc sa st as ch-1, (sk next st, 5 dc next st, sk next st, sc next st) around ending with 5 dc, sk next st, sl st top beg sc, turn.
RND 3: Ch-3, 2 dc sa st as ch-3, (sc 3 rd dc, 5 dc next sc) twice, sc 3rd dc, 2 dc next sc, sl st top beg ch-3, turn.
RND 4: Ch-1, sc sa st as ch-1, (5 dc next sc, sc 3 rd dc) twice, 5 dc next sc, sl st top beg sc, turn.
RND 5-10: Rep rnd 3 and 4 alternating.
RND 11: *Ch-3, sl st next st *, rep bet ** around, fasten off.
With 12” length of ribbon, weave over and under bottom of sts of dress on rnd 1. Glue dress over doll shoulders. Tie ribbon and trim ends. Weave an 8” length of ribbon above rnd 11, stuff body lightly and tie closed.
SLEEVE (MAKE TWO):
With lavender, ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2-6: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
RND 7: (Sc dec next 2 sts tog as 1) around, sl st top beg sc, turn. (4 sts)
RND 8: (Ch-3, sl st next st) around, fasten off.
Place hand in end of sleeve on rnd 8. Flatten sleeve at the top and glue to the doll’s head and dress at shoulders. Rep for other sleeve. Cut two 8” pieces of ribbon. Weave as established sts rnd 7. Tie into a bow and trim ends.
