RND 19: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. (4 sts)

LEGS:

With Lemon and F hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring

RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.

RND 2: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)

RND 3: Bk Lp hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.

RND 4: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off. -make 4.

TOENAIL:

With Lilac and F hook rep 1-19 of elephant’s body. Fasten off rnd 19. Cut two of the square springs in half. Insert cut end in bottom of pig’s body and twist to hold. Place a dot of glue where spring has been inserted into the body to help hold in place. Rep for all four springs making the pig’s legs. Cut 4-5 rings off the last square spring and rep as you did for the legs only placing the nose in the center of the pig’s face.

NOSE:

ROW 1: With Lilac and F hook ch-7, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)

ROW 2-6: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 6 fasten off.

With needle and Black crochet thread make large French knots on the nose for nostrils. Glue completed nose to spring on front of the pig’s face.

EYES:

With Black thread and 7 hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.

RND 1: Ch-1, work 8 hdc in ring, join White thread, fasten off Black, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)

RND 2-4: (2 Hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 4 fasten off. (12 sts)(18 sts)(27 sts) -make 2. Sew eyes to front of elephant.

EAR:

ROW 1: With Lilac and F hook ch-3, hdc 3rd ch from hook, ch-1, turn. (1 st)

ROW 2: 2 hdc only st, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)

ROW 3: 2 hdc next 2 sts, ch-1, turn. (4 sts)

ROW 4-5: 2 hdc next st, hdc ea st across to last st, 2 hdc last st, ch-1, turn. End row 5 fasten off. (6 sts)(8 sts)

-make 2 of yarn. With White thread and 7 hook make 2 more ears. Sew white thread ears to the yarn ears. Sew finished ears to op of pig’s head.
