MATERIALS:
2 Skein Patons Divine yarn in Soft Earth and 1 in Deep Earth, Lion Brand Fun Fur yarn in Champagne, Red, Bright Blue and Black, sizes H & E crochet hooks or hooks to obtain gauge, needle to take both yarns, sewing needle, sewing thread, stuffing and 2 Original Slinkys in plastic bright yellow.
GAUGE: Patons Divine yarn: 4 hdc sts = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”  Lion Fun Fur yarn: 5 hdc sts = 1”, 4 rows = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: Nose to tail 17” X 8” from bottom foot to shoulder.
BODY (MAKE 2):
With Soft Earth and H hook ch-4, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)
RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 4: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (36 sts)
RND 5-8: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 9: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.  (27 sts)
BODY BOTTOM:
With Soft Earth and H hook rep rnd 1-3 of body, fasten off.  Make 2.
Cut 9 rings off one slinky, set aside-this will be the neck later.  What remains of this slinky will connect the two halves of the dog. Insert one cut end of the slinky bet sts on one body bottom, twist until several rings are to the wrong side of the bottom.  Sew rings in place.  Rep on the other bottom connecting it the same way to the last bottom.  Set aside.
Cut the last slinky into 4 equal parts, about 9 rings ea slinky.  These will be for the dog’s legs.  Determine where on the dog’s body will be it’s 2 legs.  At that point insert cut end of one slinky into body and twist
