Patterns Written In US Terms

  RND 7: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 7 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (24 sts)
At this point cut a piece of cardboard to fit inside of head, this will give a stable place for the hat to sit when the dog is finished.
RND 8: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (20 sts)
RND 9: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (15 sts)
RND 10-12: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 13: (2 hdc next st, hdc next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (20 sts)
RND 14-17: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 18: Rep rnd 9.  (15 sts)
RND 19: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next 3 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)
Stuff dog.
RND 20: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.
FRONT LEGS:
With Lilac and E hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 10 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (10 sts)
RND 2: Bk Lp hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 3-9: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  End rnd 9 fasten off.
-make 2.  Stuff legs half way and sew to dog at neck.
BACK LEGS:
With Lilac and E hook rep rnd 1-7 of front legs.  Fasten off end rnd 7.
-make 2.  Stuff legs and sew to back of dog.
TAIL:
ROW 1: With Lilac and E hook ch-3, hdc 3rd ch from hook, ch-1, turn.  (1 st)
ROW 2: 2 hdc only st, ch-1, turn.  (2 sts)
ROW 3: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 4: 2 hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.  (4 sts)
ROW 5: Rep row 3, fasten off.
Fold the tail in half and sew tog.  Sew to back of dog.
