Patterns Written In US Terms

MATERIALS:
Bernat Baby Softee yarn in lilac, size 10 crochet thread in White, Black & Blue, size E & 7 crochet hooks or hooks to obtain gauge, needle to take yarn, stuffing, small amount of cardboard, craft glue, 14 white 1\2” pom-poms and 1 heart shaped plastic spring.
GAUGE: Bernat Softee: 4 hdc sts = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”.  Thread: 4 sts = 1\2”, 3 rows = 1\2”
FINISHED SIZE: 5” tall without hat.
DOG:
With Lilac and E hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
RND 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (12 sts)
 RND 2-3: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.  (18 sts)(27 sts)
RND 4: Bk Lp hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
RND 5-6: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
